14 Barn

A derelict old barn at the edge of McKinney city limits.  No longer in use, but picturesque.

  1. Yes, this is picturesque…I could spend a lot of time shooting pics around there.

  2. That barn is huge! Love to find out what it’s like inside…

  3. Old buildings are fun to photograph. You did a great job with this barn. There is so much to look at.

  4. Love old barns! I haven’t found one that I don’t like! It looks like you had to go between the branches to get the whole think in!

  5. That is just beautiful…I love the perspective through the trees…looks like a place I would love to explore (with my camera)!

  6. I like how it peeks through the trees. It feels like we are exploring with you.

  7. Love it! I have a soft spot for barns, old or new! There are a few around here that I want to go photograph when it warms up some.

    • It is a wish of mine to be able to go all over the state–or the country–just photographing old barns. Old water towers is another thing I love to see. Nice to know I’m not the only one with a soft spot for the barns! (Anyone notice the tree leaning against the side of the barn, and bending the tin roof a bit?)

  8. I like the shot through the trees. Too often I pass on an interesting shot because I think I need a clear view and you’ve illustrated how to make use of what’s actually in the scene.

  9. Great perspective of a great looking barn!

  10. Always sad to see one of these formerly majestic barns in a state of decline. It was the center of so much activity on the farm. They each sure have their own personality and a collection of barn portraits would be fun.
